Sorry about the black screen at 3.44, the editing went slightly wrong. Also, if your DVD will not rip under these settings, then it may be COPY PROTECTED. My DVD of Hancock is like that. There is nothing you can do about this, the DVD will not copy no matter what software you are using.

7. Open DVDfab and place your DVD in your disc drive. A pop-up box should appear saying that DVDfab is opening the source of the DVD.
8. After the DVD has been identified by DVDfab click on the Main Movie tab. Everything is already ready so just press the Next button.
9. On this page you don’t have to change anything either. The only thing you might want to change is the location where DVDfab is going to put the decrypted DVD. Press the folder button at the top (which I showed in the video) to select the output location of the files. Once you’ve done that press the start button at the bottom. Wait for your DVD to be decrypted, it should take around 20 minutes but the time depends on your computer’s speed.
10. Once the decrypting of the DVD is done you can exit out of DVDfab. Go to the location where you selected the files to be placed. Once there you will see that you have several files. Some of these files are .VOB files. The .VOB files are the DVD movie and there should be several of them depending on how long the movie is. These .VOB files should look something like this: VTS_01_1 and VTS_01_2 and VTS_01_3 and VTS_01_4. These are all different sections of the movie.
11. Open VOBmerge and click the Add File button on the right. Go to where the .VOB files are located and add the files in sequential order. Once they are all added in order press the Merge button and then select a name for the new .VOB file. It will show the merging process at the bottom-left corner. The merging process should take about 20 minutes depending on your computer’s speed and the file will automatically save to the same folder where your .VOB files are located. Also make sure when you add the .VOB files that they are all in the folder where DVDfab placed them.
12. Open Total Video Converter. When Total Video Converter opens a drop-down box should appear. Import the merged .VOB file. Once it’s imported a new screen will pop up with numerous video formats. Choose the one that says MP4. Once chosen a drop-down box should appear. Choose the first option that says MPEG4 MP4. Now another new screen should pop up showing your video file. Press the Settings button and a settings box should pop up. Under the Audio tab choose auto for the Audio Channel, aac for the Audio Codec, custom 44100 for the Sampling Rate, custom 128 for the Bit Rate, and adjust the volume to 256. Now click on the Video tab and choose mpeg4 for the Video Codec, custom 30 for the Frame Rate, and custom 325 for the Bit Rate. Now click on the Video Resize tab and choose 320×240 for the resize option and choose normal for the Aspect Ratio. Once you’re done with customizing these settings click the Save and Apply button at the bottom. A drop-down box should appear, now choose Save as and Apply. Give the settings you just entered a name so that when you want to convert another video all you have to do is choose that profile name.
13. Alright now press the Convert Now button and wait for the conversion. The conversion process will probably take about a hour depending on your computer’s speed.
14. After your video is done converting it should be in the .MP4 video format. Open up Itunes and click the tab at the top that says FILE. A drop-down box should appear, now choose Add File to Library. Go to the location where you saved your converted video to and select the converted .MP4 video. It should add to your Itunes under your movies. Now all you have to do is plug-in your Ipod and your ready to enjoy your movie anywhere.
